Dossier pushing for PGI status for Greek yoghurt "to be submitted by the Autumn"

Greek food and rural affairs minister, Stavros Arachovitis, says he expects ELGO-DIMITRA, the competent authority, to submit the dossier for protected status for Greek yoghurt to the European Commission by the Autumn.

A plan by Greece to win a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) for Greek yoghurt is making progress, with the relevant dossier being prepared by a team at Athen’s Agricultural University for submission to the European Commission  in the Autumn.
