Finland to increase tax on alcohol and soft drinks

New taxes will be implemented as early as next year.

Finland’s Minister of Finance, Mika Lintilä, has announced that taxes on alcohol and soft drinks are to be increased. The increased rates are expected to generate additional tax revenues of EUR50 million (USD56 mln) and EUR25 mln respectively.
