The Trump administration labelled China a "currency manipulator" after its central bank allowed the renminbi (yuan) depreciate below a key level. Meanwhile, USDA data highlighted the trade impacts from ongoing US-China tensions, President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of additional trade aid for farmers and USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said it will discontinue Salmonella sampling for some low volume poultry products.
