Norwegian industry body pushes for liberalisation of alcohol sales policy

The industry organisation Virke wants kiosks and gas stations to be able to sell beer, a licence the nation’s grocery stores already have.

Norwegian industry organisation Virke is pushing for Norway’s 3,000 kiosks and gas stations to get the same rights to sell beer as the country’s grocery stores. If this isn’t possible, the group is looking to lobby to move all beer sales to the country-owned Vinmonopolet liquor stores instead.
