USDA again slashed its forecast for US ag exports and the US ag trade surplus. Meanwhile, the department's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced it will begin sampling domestic and wild-caught Siluriformes for dioxin and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said it is seeking industry feedback as it drafts a new blueprint on leveraging new technologies to boost food safety.
