Polish opposition bloc could introduce sugar tax

Andrzej Rzońca, the main economic advisor to the Civic Platform (PO), the main party in Poland’s largest opposition bloc Civic Coalition (KO), said that, while the KO was generally opposed to imposing any new taxes or raising the existing ones, he could not rule out the introduction of the so-called sugar tax as the measure could generate certain benefits for the society.
