Trade in goods increases 10% though Canada-EU deal, says Malmström

EU agriculture has seen increase in trade of 7% on the back of the deal, the trade commissioner said in a speech today (September 20).

The EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a “beacon of trade” that has increased the EU’s agricultural trade by 7% since its’ first full year of provisional application in 2018, EU trade commissioner Cecilia Malmström said today (September 20).
