A batch of meat that was infected with the potentially fatal foodborne bacteria listeria went unreported for nearly a year, Europol, the EU’s agency for cross-border law enforcement co-operation, has said. They said that the batch, discovered and seized in Spain this week, could be the reason for several cases of listeria outbreak in the country over the past months.
