House approves aggressive PFAS Action Plan

Legislation orders EPA to set drinking water standards, declare 'forever chemicals' as hazardous and accelerate remediation efforts

The US House of Representatives passed legislation Friday (Jan. 10) that would require EPA set drinking water standards for two per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and compel the agency to move quickly to address growing concern about the potential public health threats from the widely used “forever” chemicals.
