A Romanian MEP is urging the European Parliament to back the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and Investment Protection Agreement (IPA) in a February 12 plenary vote, on grounds that rules-based trade is better for raising human rights standards in the South-East Asian nation than no rules and no trade.
