USDA Undersecretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Services Ted McKinney said the US has not received notification from China of any potential delay in implementation of the Phase One trade deal due to coronavirus. Meanwhile, coronavirus cases surged in China as it looks to bolster farm and food supplies and environmental and animal welfare groups sued USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) over its limited response to their Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for agency loan programs.
